CONFESSIONS OF A WRITER contains fifteen
pieces of fictional work that demonstrate
the power of imagination, intelligence and
style. These brief stories offer a unique
perspective on life and take the readers on a
journey into a bizarre and profoundly
magical realm.
Tavakkol’s unique sense of humor, piercing
irony and his obsession with fantasy are
masterfully exhibited in every piece.
Saeed Tavakkol was born in Ahvaz, a city in
southern Iran. He immigrated to the United
States in 1983 a few years after the
revolution. His chaotic childhood, his
participation in the Iranian revolution and
living in the turmoil of the post revolutionary
society engaged in a war compelled him to
write.
His life in the US and his experiences after
September the 11th have greatly motivated
him and inspired his creativity.
He lives in Dallas.
